The Dental Op written review is a one-day seminar designed to help you pass the written Registered Dental Assistant Exam given by the Dental Board of California.

We will focus on all the required topic areas addressed in the examination outline plan. A review book along with practice tests are used.

We will focus on the examination plan that was issued by the California Dental Board.

There are 140 scored questionS with 15 non-scored questions. The test is administered by a company called PSI. There are many test site locations located in California, with the closest location in Anaheim.

You will be taking the timed test on a computer that is provided.

Upon completion of your test, you will be given a pass or fail, and the results will be immediately sent to the California Dental Board.

As of April 6, 2017, the Dental Board of California voted to suspend the practical part of the Registered Dental Assisting exam.  Until further notice there will be no practical exam given.

  • ALERT – Suspension of the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Practical Examination On April 6, 2017, the Dental Board of California (Board) voted to suspend the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) practical examination as a result of the findings of the review of the practical examination conducted by the Office of Professional Examination Services (OPES) of the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA). Pursuant to Business and Professions Code Section 1752.1, the Board may vote to suspend the practical examination if the review conducted by the OPES concludes that the practical examination is unnecessary or does not accurately measure the competency of RDAs.
